Böker calls the Plus Rold a real camping knife. We also think that if the fun camping trip turns into a real survival adventure you will be really happy you are carrying this knife with you. The blade is made from extremely strong SK5 steel. SK5 is more shock-resistant than the D2 version. The knife leaves the factory with a razor-sharp blade. The blade has also been enhanced with a beautiful black coating. Remember that SK5 steel is a type of carbon steel and therefore not 100 % stainless. So, properly dry it after use and watch out with (fruit)acids.
